_____________________________________________________________________________________ Received Tuesday, July 20, 2010 Mary Richards had surgery today at DePaul Hospital. They removed a polyp from her colon. They would rather remove the polyp this way than with a colonoscopy which is the way it is usually done. The doctor feels that this was the safest way to remove the polyp and they already knew that the polyp is not cancer.
She came through the operation and is resting. It looks like everything is okay. They will keep her over night and if all goes well, she should be able to come home either late tomorrow or Thursday.
Cards can be sent to 6351 Tappahannock Drive Norfolk, VA 23509
I am sure by Friday, she should be up to phone calls: 757-961-5692
As I know more information, I will let you know

She is out of the Critical Care Coronary unit and in a regular room down the hall. She is sitting up – looks good – and already joking and laughing with the nursing staff and doctors. She is getting back to her usual self quite well and has a great outlook and positive attitude.
While there, she stood up with the help of a walker and took several steps which the nurses said was good. If all goes well, Robin will be released from the hospital this coming week and be home than go to cardiac rehab.
In addition to Ski and Venner (her husband and son) her mother and sister are also here which is a great help to Robin.
Keep Robin in your prayers. Her son will be leaving this coming week for Washington DC where he will be a page for one of the Congressmen. He is very excitied.

Doc
& I visited her Wednesday afternoon. Peggy fractured her right
wrist, right pelvis and right ankle in a fall in front of her home
on Sunday. Surgery replaced the right pelvis and repaired the ankle
and wrist. The wrist is wrapped in an ace bandage until the
swelling goes down. She will be in the hospital and then the rehabilitation
unit for a total of 6 weeks. She is sorry to miss the June
convention. She was in good spirits when we saw her, but we did not
stay long. Prayers would definitely help. She liked the card I
gave her.
